“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same fields, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Alice Wesley-Smith is a Sydney-based photographer and director with a passion for our natural world, sustainability, food, travel and beautiful design & spaces. Fundamental to her work is a belief in the importance of living sustainably and living well – with whole-heartedness, authenticity, and a tangible and loving connection to our planet.
After completing a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication at University of Technology Sydney, Alice went on to help launch the collaborative and multidisciplinary studio the AEON, creating video campaigns and content for top fashion companies including Zara, ASOS, C&A, Oroton, Lover, L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, ManiaMania, Nobody Jeans, Ginger & Smart, Speedo & Sportsgirl.
Eventually her lifelong passion for food, cooking and health called her to a divergent path and in 2014 Alice decided to embark on a new business venture creating and developing locally sourced, sustainable cold-pressed juices and raw chocolates.
Having integrated everything she’s learnt over her diverse career, Alice works with clients to create still photographic and video content across a broad range of areas including food, interiors, travel and lifestyle. She is interested in the interconnectedness of all aspects of life, from the food we eat, to the land we inhabit, and the spaces we create - a worldview that is embodied and reflected in the natural and emotive tone of her work.
